A Taiping guy personal rants and Malaysia Food blog
After the Tenji Japanese Buffet Restaurant @ Solaris Mont Kiara – Part One, I have to continue with the Part Two. Part One is more about foods in Tenji, so Part Two will be written more about the foods section and places. No more grandfather story, let’s get started.

* Lou Sang Section – They served Lou Sang because the time we were there was nearby Chinese New Year. You’d to pay for the Lou Sang, it was not free 1. I just think Lou Sang in Garden Palace Seafood Restaurant is much more better.

* The cook was cooking those dishes which had been ordered by customers.

* Sushi Section – Most of the Sushi had been grabbed by others, but they were producing new Susi non-stop.

* Roasted Mutton – We’d tried one small plate, quite delicious.

* Fried Onion Ikan Bilis

* Dim Sum Section – But I didn’t take any food over here.

* Mutton – After that we took mutton to try as well. Quite nice.

* Desert Section – There was a lot of desert such as cookies, cheese cake, Haagen Dazs ice cream, Pudin, Mua Chi and etc. I don’t think you can try each of them. It’s too many!

* So I just picked some of them.

* Tea Section – They had many different types of tea, my friend mixed them all together, but quite nice too, the tea that my friend made had a strong rose taste, very nice to drink. It cleaned our stomach after so many heavy foods too!

* There is few different types of wain put at the entrance. Perhaps you can buy them home and taste it.

I had a very good time in Tenji Japanese Buffet Restaurant, but in term of the quality of foods, some of them were nice but some of them were not that fresh. So, have your meal there and try your luck! Read also Part One.

So disappointed for this restaurant.My friends recommend me to this restaurant last month,it was so great when i 1st came to this restaurant they serving good red wine and beer for free,and the foods quality no bad for that time.After that i start bring in my friends to this restaurant again,this time we having supper buffet,but i was so disappointed this time cause they dun serve the red wine again,even the black herbal chicken is only the stand hanging there they told us no more for that too..so , i thought is maybe only serve by dinner..So i decided to bring my family to dinner again,and i keep strongly recommend to my family for the foods quality..but,after last night it will be my last step to this restaurant.
i had making reserved a dinner for my family 8 persons before 4days ago,but they bring us to the outside door open air table with out notice me and some more they squeeze us to a 6persons table,the table is far from the buffet counter is so inconvenient for a pregnant women like me to walk in and walk out for the food,and i almost fall down through the dirty floor..and is no service at all for clearing our table some more is so small for the table, is so disappointed again they totally dun served the red wine /beer anymore with out inform me the price was changed even when i asking the price when i calling for reserved they told me it was 79++ when i went there the price changed to 50++ and again the black herbal chicken is not serving only the stand showing there! It was bad also for the salad bar no refill at all ,i walk to the salad for many times they dun even refill for it.
And the last to warning for all,the Soho car jockey cant be trusted.We left a handphone in the car after we find out and back to the car after dinner it was gone..and the jockey keep saying he never saw it..my husband just give up and said to me won’t come to this place again.And it was so disappointed to my family too.

@Ting,
Seems that you have had a bad experience in Tenji, too bad to hear that Ting. Ting, Tenji2 is just opened in Bandar Puteri, Puchong. Perhaps you can give them another chance, but I have yet to give Tenji2 a try, but will be very soon. Good luck Ting!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!IT IS HORRIBLE!!!!
Mass quantity of cheap food cannot justify the RM100 per head. Serve GOOD quality food, and lessen the mass volumes of shear waste and cheap ingredients. Poor quality, poor presentation, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE taste. Would not recommend to anyone.
This place is a JOKE!
Will be closed in a matter of time, unless they wise up!
This place SUCKS!!!!
Even Sushi King is better….. yucks!!!!

Extremely terrible experience with this Tenji restaurant.
1. The food is Yucks, terrible taste. I don’t understand why they use a clear plastic to wrap sushi
2. Seafood is not fresh at all, all with funny smell.
3. The serving plates and cups are dirty
4. The buffet is suppose come with a free coconut, we couldn’t find any. We try to talk to the restaurant manager but her answer is “NO REFILL”, they will serve one round only.
We went there in a big group, and nobody was full when we left. If you are too rich and would like to waste money, this restaruant is a good choice.

@Chan,
I tried Tenji 1 in Mont Kiara, but just tasted good? Perhaps sometimes their foods are not fresh, it depends though. I tried Tenji 1 at Bandar Puteri, Puchong, but not as good as Tenji 1 in term of the foods and environment.
