3 Disappointed Thing in Secret Recipe @ Taman Megah
Just come back home from my lunch at Secret Recipe. We just finished our first exam paper this morning which is Institusi Islam, after that we decided to take our lunch in Secret Recipe near to our house. We didn’t take breakfast in the morning because the exam started at 9am, so we treat our stomach good a lil bit, so we went to Secret Recipe for our lunch.
This time, Secret Recipe in Taman Megah, PJ disappointed me. When we stepped in, they look very nice and friendly :” Good Morning, Welcome! “. (nothing disappointed me yet) So we look at the menu and order 3 Chicken Cordon Blue, 1 cheese Chocolate cake, 2 Orea milk Shakes and 1 hot chocolate. We waited for about 5mins, Cheese chocolate cake is serving first. After 10-15mins, 2 Orea Milk Shake, and 1 “cold” Chocolate (Damn ! We order hot chocolate la..). So we ask him change to hot chocolate.
1st thing disappointed me is their Oreo Milk Shakes, not as nice as i drank last time, very watery. Fine ! Then, 1 Chicken Cordon Blue come first, so i take it first. 2nd disappointed thing is their Chicken Cordon Blue, same with Oreo Milk Shaks, not as nice as i ate last time, look like bit hangus, no nice ! Last CNY, i ate with my cousin in Taiping Secret Recipe which is inside the new Tesco in Kamunting. Better a lot than this one!
3rd thing disppointed me!! I ate until half, my friends asked me :” Why so long 1? You got order 3sets or not ?” I said :” Got ar.” My gf also said she heard that I order 3 also.
So i asked the waiter, where is another 2sets ? He looked like didn’t understand what i’m saying, I pointed on my Chicken Cordon Blue and said i order 3sets. Then he said :” You order 3 kah ?” (Damn it, “Sorry” pun tak da!! What service is that?!?!)

* Chicken Cordon Blue, no nice one. Cost Rm15.50 per set. Different with what i ate b4, smaller and different taste.

* Oreo Milk Shakes, Watery, no nice! Cost Rm8.50 !

* Hot Chocolate. My gf order it, not sure nice or not. Cost Rm6.50.
Total Amount for the lunch for 3person is Rm87.75 including Service Charge and Government Tax. You can go other branch of Secret Recipe, don’t go Taman Megah 1. Their food not nice i don’t mind, at least Service good bit la, you thought secret recipe small restaurant kah ?? I summore ask my friend where got the paper for customer complaint 1 ? But i didn’t complaint also la, just don’t visit there again nia.

I normally have my Secret Recipe meals at Curve due to lesser crowd in comparison to Mid Valley (full-house most of the time!). Maybe you can try it at different outlet? If you are a fan of green tea, maybe you can try out their special Ramadhan ice-blended green tea

i have stop frequenting secret recipe for any meals and even their cake which i love long time ago. i just feel that their quality has gone down a lot since they started franchising. i used to eat their choc banana in subang whenever i came down to kl from penang but now this cake has just lost its touch. and my family banned secret recipe when the franchise boss in penang scolded me for complaining about the food quality, telling me i got weird taste bud. that was my last straw.

renaye : What?? Scold you because of your complaint? Oh my god! He couldn’t be apologized! But the foods in Secret Recipe are really getting worst now, I ate their Chicken Cordon Blue once before, the taste was totally different with now. Quality is totally gone with the franchise cook. That was the last time I had my meal in Secret Recipe, the Oreo Milk Shake that I love the most also gone already. No more quality and delicious food.

Never eat food other than cakes in Secret Recipe. Restaurant nowadays just simply cook and serve and never even bother the taste of the food.

Jessen : Oh, I don’t think it’s worth to try now since their quality of food is totally gone. No longer taste good as before. I used to eat their Choc Almond cakes, it was still taste good but I had about few months never been there. I will be going again if I change my mind.

Hi, i had a very bad experience yesterday. i bought a pecan butterscotch slice of cake takeaway and found that the cake was already sour and stale. i had called the outlet and the staffs were blunt and almost rude by saying if you wanna exchange you must bring the cake back for refunds. i actually went back to the outlet on my on fuel, time and parking costs just to find out that the replacement, Hazelnut chocolate has also gone bad!! even the staffs tasted it and agreed. they immidiately washed all the knives with hot boiling water. i not only wasted my time on a Sunday evening but was furiously upset over the whole situation . It took them awhile to say im sorry.
Well guess what..i AM sorry and i will never go to any Secret Recipes again..
